The Friendly Village with Country Charm

In 1853 a town park was set aside in Huntley, in which a wooden pump was installed in the center of the park to serve as a water supply for both horses and firefighting. With the town becoming a dairy center, whenever the farmers would come to town to make their mil deliveries, the park would serve as a waiting ground for their horses and wagons. In 1851, when the railroad was developed in Huntley, the town really started to see economic growth. Even with the railway being eliminated in the mid 1900's, the town still continued to grow after that. Today, Huntley's downtown area is a hot spot for residents, the area includes several shops, restaurants and bars. In addition to the downtown area, residents enjoy the Huntley outlet mall for shopping, which also draws residents of other surrounding towns. Huntley is also known for their retirement community, Del Webb, which is the largest in the Midwest. Main employers in Huntley include; Weber Grill Factory, Dean Foods Dairy Processing and distribution Center and Freund International Trucking Center.
