When Hanover Park was first incorporated in 1958, it started out with a population of 305 people, within five years; the population had multiplied by ten. Today, Hanover Park is home to approximately 38,000 people. Hanover Park provides recreational activities, leisure facilities and services to its residents. Another exciting part of living in Hanover Park is its thousands of acres of Forest Preserves, giving residents a chance to enjoy the natural surroundings of the community. Within the forest preserves there are attractions to keep residents busy, some of the attractions might include horse back riding, bird refuges, fishing piers, dog exercise area, boating and hiking. Almost 55 companies call Hanover Park home, Fortune 500 companies are of the largest employers in this town.

Fun Fact: 
Ontarioville was Hanover Park’s original name. In 1958 the town was renamed Hanover Park.
